Since 2003, he is director of the ara region bern ag, the second largest wastewater treatment facility in Switzerland. Since then, the ara region Bern ag has committed itself to the advancement of various aspects of renewable energy.

Dipl.-Ing. Michael Beil, project manager biogas upgrading and micro gas distribution systems, is currently responsible as WP leader "biogas upgrading" in the European research project BIOGASMAX. His responsibilities at ISET are monitoring, evaluation and technical improvement of biogas and biogas upgrading plants, micro gas distribution systems, potential studies for feedstock, technical and legal aspects of biomethane grid injection and utilisation.

Now in the marketing section of GrDF, the GDF SUEZ gas distribution subsidiary, she is in charge of the promotion of renewable energies and their mix with natural gaz. Biogas is one of her topics as a true beneficial alternative energy and a catalyzer for CNG development in France.

Mr Dinkloh has a chemical engineering degree as Diplom-Ingenieur from the Technical University of Berlin. Until 2008 he was Head of International Business for Schmack Biogas AG. Since 2008 Mr Dinkloh is the Vice President of UTS Biogastechnik GmbH with main responsibilities in sales, marketing, service as well as application engineering and the continuous strategic development of UTS' international business expansion.
Among the publications from Mr Dinkloh are "Building and Operating a successful Biogas Plant" (2008), "Promoting the Growth of the Biogas Industry" (2007) and "Biogas - the Multi-Energy Talent" (2007).

Ekengren Tula

Tula Ekengren is the Marketing Director at FordonsGas Sverige AB, a Gotheburg-based company building and running filling stations for gasdriven vehicles. At FordonsGas, Tula works, among other things, with the task to increase that awareness of the advantages of biogas and the number of gasdriven vehicles. Tula has an engineering degree in chemistry with applied physics from Chalmers University of Technology and has previously worked at Swedish Environmental Protection Agency with air quality and the Swedish Association for Nature Conservation with ecolabelling in the energy sector.

Fletcher Trevor

Trevor Fletcher is the Managing Director and Chairman of The Hardstaff Group; a family run organisation of which he is the 5th generation. He started his career as a vehicle apprentice and later went on to graduate from Loughborough University of Technology with honours in Transport Management and Planning. He joined the family haulage company in 1978 and under his management the company expanded and diversified to include a truck dealership, safety barrier company and an industry related training school. For almost a decade under Trevor's direction, the organisation has been developing advanced dual fuel vehicle technologies powered by natural gas and biomethane, initially for the light and heavy commercial vehicle markets. The organisation works closely with OEM's and the Loughborough University Combustion Engine Department and trials all new technology through its own fleet. The organisation is internationally recognised in this field and through its group activities it is able to supply all the disciplines required to bring the product to market, including the technology, vehicle, refuelling station, fuel and support.
Trevor has just been named Chairman National Gas Vehicle Association (NGVA).

Fravolini Daniela

Graduate Mechanical Engineer with Master degree in Urban and Indoor Environment, Rome University. Since 1995  works at the Municipal Company for Waste Management. She started his experience in the Fleet Maintenance Dept. then worked as Project Engineer and Team Leader in several international call for tenders and contracts regarding waste management services. She is actually working in the Technical & Fleet Management Dept. R&D activities, among which the use of alternative fuels in captive public fleets, the design and implementation of the pneumatic waste collection and transportation, the design and coordination of the relevant European co-funded R&D Projects.

Hirtzberger Pierre

A graduate engineer in Energy and Environmental Management from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Lyon in 1995, and having my Master's degree from the Ecole des Mines de Paris, Pierre Hirtzberger has had the chance to put his specialised technical knowledge to use while driving waste treatment construction projects to a successful conclusion for the benefit of local authorities in the North of France.

His responsibilities in these large scale projects (waste sorting center, incinerator, organic recovery center, sewage plants) included conception after European peer-review, scheduling, European public procurement, permit procedures, construction follow-up, project team management and stakeholder coordination.

Pierre Hirtzberger is closely involved in European Cities Networks (Eurocities, Polis, Access) and the manager of the Biogasmax European Project.

Uwe Hoffstede, scientific head Biogas Plant Technology, gained far-reaching experience as plant constructor for industrial and municipal biogas plants. His responsibilities today are evaluation of biogas plants, systems technology, performance improvement by development of measuring methods, feedstock and biogas treatment.

Houtman Anne

Björn Hugosson has a master's degree in engineering, and has 16 years of experience as analyst and project manager. Since 2002, he works at the City of Stockholm as project manager for clean vehicles. Main focus has been to promote clean vehicles in company fleets, to demonstrate new types of vehicles such as fuel cell buses and to develop a strategy for biomethane market expansion in Stockholm. His role in the Biogasmax project is to lead the Stockholm site and the workpackage on Use of biomethane in vehicles.

Is now participant in the BiG-projetct (Biogas in Göteborg). A plant for digesting and upgrading of biogas produced from household waste.

Sylwia Klatka is an expert in Knowledge Transfer. She works together with cities, research and industry on environmental policy issues and on market applications of ambitious environmental solutions, with focus on energy and transport. She is the managing director of ConVoco Ltd, an internationally active research and consulting company based in Pozna? (Poland), working on the issues of sustainable urban development.
In the BIOGASMAX project Sylwia Klatka designs and leads the Knowledge Transfer actions for the New Member States of the EU.

Manuel Lage Marco has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Spain) and is also an Engine Engineer from the ENSPM of Paris. All his professional career of near 35 years has been developed in the automotive industry: Chrysler España (Spain and U.K.), Enasa-Pegaso (Spain) and Iveco (Spain and Italy).Today he is responsible for Institutional Relations of Iveco España S.L. and is also General Manager of NGVA Europe. In parallel M. Lage is a well known automotive historian, having published several books about Hispano Suiza, Pegaso and the Spanish automotive history.

Lindner Jan Paul

Mr Lindner is a researcher at the GaBi group at Universität Stuttgart. He graduated from Universität Stuttgart in environmental engineering in 2008, with a thesis on the integration of biodiversity into Life Cycle Assessment. Within the GaBi group, he is project manager for a number of research and consulting projects in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, and polymer materials.
His role in Biogasmax is the environmental evaluation of the complete biomethane system, including production, upgrading, distribution and use.

Carl-Magnus Pettersson is managing director for the company Svensk Växtkraft in Västerås. The company is producing biogas from the organic part of source sorted house hold waste and from agricultural crops. The biogas is upgraded and sold locally in Västerås as a fuel for busses, refuse collection trucks and cars. The company is operating two public filling stations in Västerås. Some of the upgraded biogas is sold to AGA GAS for distribution to public filling stations in Stockholm. Carl-Magnus has been involved in the planning, building, start-up and operation of all plants owned and operated by Svensk Växtkraft.

Bernt Svensén is working at Business Region Göteborg as project manager for Biogas West since the start 2001. Bernt Svensén and his staff have together with the industry and communities in West Sweden built a unique cluster in the biogas business area. The project has been a forerunner in how to organize and manage the biogas development not only in Sweden but also abroad. In May 2008 Business Region Göteborg won the American prize “The Blue Sky Award”. Bernt Svensén has a background as an owner of companies working with environmental technique export to China and energy consultant issues. His education background is mathematics and electronics at Chalmers University of Technology and in later year also environmentally studies at Göteborg University.

He is currently president of the European Biogas Association (EBA) and general manager of the Swiss Biogas Association (Biogas Forum) as well as of the Task 37 of the IEA Bioenergy agreement on "Energy from biogas and landfill gas.
